MATRIARCH LA Officially Reopens in Koreatown This Memorial Day Weekend

Koreatown nightlife is entering a new era.
Following more than a decade of memories, music, and community built through Apartment 503, the iconic fifth-floor Wilshire venue is officially relaunching as MATRIARCH LA, with its Grand Reopening set for Saturday, May 23, 2026.
Located above Koreatown inside the Aroma Center at 3680 Wilshire Blvd, MATRIARCH LA represents a full evolution of the longtime nightlife space — introducing redesigned interiors, upgraded sound and lighting systems, expanded hospitality offerings, and a new long-term vision centered around music, culture, and community.
The reopening marks the beginning of what organizers describe as a fully reimagined nightlife experience for Los Angeles.
A New Chapter for a Koreatown Staple
For years, the venue formerly known as Apartment 503 became known for intimate late-night events, underground music programming, and panoramic city views overlooking Wilshire Boulevard.
Now reintroduced as MATRIARCH LA, the space returns with:
Newly redesigned interiors and visual production upgrades
Enhanced sound, lighting, and DJ infrastructure
Expanded culinary and late-night food offerings
Refined cocktail and bottle service experiences
Curated artist partnerships and cultural programming
Additional collaborations, artist announcements, and summer programming are expected to roll out in the coming months as the venue establishes its next identity within the Los Angeles nightlife scene.
Grand Reopening Weekend Begins With “Off The Record”
The relaunch weekend kicks off with “Off The Record”, a Memorial Day Weekend event taking place Saturday night.
